Forum Title: Locking down grout haze
Hey, all. Any suggestions for a primer to lock down grout haze on a ceiling? Preferably non-oil, but I'll use whatever works. Got called to a job where some real pigs did a floor to ceiling tile job in a bathroom grouted with a mocha brown grout. No effort whatsoever was made to keep the grout off the ceiling, so there is a good 16 swath of yellow/brown haze on the ceiling (no grit left to the touch, looks more like a water stain, but is def. grout colorant). Ceiling is going to be Aura Bath/Spa matte white, but I didn't trust it enough to lock down the grout colorant by itself. The grout bag over there, FWIW, is Tec Power Grout sold by Lowe's. Setting type, non-epoxy from what I could tell. Insight appreciated as always...

Sounds just like a stain. Get all grout/dirt off. Then lock down with a interior primer. Should be good
