Forum Title: Cheating on SW, need BM help.
I know some will be happy to hear I'm cheating on SW next week, using BM paint at the customers request. I got this job from a referral through a local BM retailer, so it's only right to use the paint, right. They sell P&L , Coronado and others too. My question, what's the CHB equivalent for spraying ceilings? It's a repaint, popcorn ceiling. The rep recommended sk5000 high build. He also gave me 5 catalogues full of choices to wade through. I think I'll be using BM regal. The recent thread on application of aura and regal are very helpful. I'm also spraying the trim. It looks like Advance is the near equivalent of Pro Classic Acrylic Alkyd? Any insight how it behaves that anyone would mind sharing? I'm using a graco 395 AAA, with a flat tip because I can't figure out to get the switch tip conversion guard work without leaking.

Spray first coat light then 2nd coat can be heavier. If it's humid check for runs or curtains after it has sat for a few minutes. Advance is way better than Pro Clasic because you can flow out any runs with a brush or mini roller without it roping on you like Pro Classic does after it sits for a couple of minutes. As far as your switch tip leaking check to make sure you have gaskets in correctly and when tightening the tip guard to the gun make sure that it is completely seated and tightened. It has a tendency to feel tightened down when it is actually not and will leak on you.
