Forum Title: Annual BURN OUT thread.......
I know I don't post much, but, I think I've posted this sort of thread before so I know it's not fresh. This year the in the bucket burn out has hit me hard of late. It always hits at some point in the summer, but, it came late this year, probably because I've been doing mostly interiors and haven't been exposed to the Midwestern heat wave. Anyway, I'm tired of answering calls, mostly because it entails an evening estimate commitment somewhere after a long day of work. The last guy told me to arrive promptly at 7:30. I got there at 7:20, waited until 7:58 at which point I got a text telling me they were at a kid's ball game and would be late. I bolted. My time is valuable too. I know estimates are our bread and butter, and, I will eventually snap out of it, probably after the temps drop........then I can complain about the cold.......

I've been fighting the burn for the last month or so. I try not to work much on Sunday and save it for family but between the massive load of work I have and being in the middle of buying a new house I'm tired. It's to the point where I dread the phone ringing, which is ridiculous but true. I'm booked solid to Thanksgiving with a couple tough jobs coming down the pike. 75% of the people that call I never look at because I'm out too far yet I'm still looking at jobs everyday. Ready for a good long vacation.
